What Does It Really Mean To Take A Break?

When one partner says 'Lets take a break', is it a subtle way of breaking up, or does it mean the person wants time off to think?

Please share your thoughts ..................

  2. This is a silly question. if someone wants time off, they are basically saying they want time off from the relationship due to the fact that being in the relationship is preventing them from doing something they would otherwise be doing if they were single. my mind immediately goes to a place that involves seeing other people and random blowjobs in cars, but what do i know? if someone wants to reconsider their relationship they do not need a break to do that, what they are really saying is they want to consider OTHER relationships. So next time your significant other whips out the old "i need a break", just do yourself a favor and break up with them preemptively. They either want to be with you or they don't, its that simple. the alternative is to let yourself be "put on the shelf" and give your girlfriend a free pass to be viciously sodomized by that dude she met last week at the mall.
    DONT DO IT.
